Ingredients for 4 people:
- 700g of steak (veal or beef)
- 100g of tagliatelle
- 1 onion
- 200g of mushrooms
- 1 tablespoon of wheat flour
- 700ml of beef broth
- 3 tablespoons of cooking cream or heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons of mustard
- Fresh coriander or chopped parsley
- Salt and black pepper
- Olive oil
Instructions:
- Tenderize the meat with a meat mallet and cut it into strips.
- In a large pan, heat some olive oil over high heat.
- Sear the meat on all sides for about 2 minutes, browning the outside while leaving the inside raw.
- Set aside the meat and lower the heat.
- Add the chopped onion to the meat juices, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 10 minutes.
- Add sliced mushrooms, stir, and cook for 2 minutes.
- Sprinkle with flour, stir, and cook for 5 minutes over low heat.
- Add the beef broth, stir, and let it cook for another 5 minutes.
- Incorporate the cream and mustard, stir, and let it simmer for 5 minutes over very low heat.
- Place the meat back into the pan, adjust the seasoning, and cook over very low heat for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook the tagliatelle in boiling salted water until al dente.
- Drain the pasta and arrange it on a serving plate.
- Place the meat on the tagliatelle and drizzle with the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped coriander or parsley.
- Serve hot and enjoy.
