Simply pour the ground meat over the potatoes‼️ Delicious and easy!

  • 1 kilogram of potatoes.
  • Cut the potatoes into half-moon slices.
  • In a large skillet, pour a bit of oil.
  • Fry the potatoes for 15 minutes over medium-low heat.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Half a teaspoon of paprika.
  • A pinch of oregano.
  • Mix.
  • Pour the potatoes into an oven-safe dish.
  • 400 grams of ground meat.
  • I use the same skillet, less washing up, haha!
  • Add an onion.
  • Sauté for 2/3 minutes.
  • Pour in 400 grams of tomato pulp.
  • Season with salt and black pepper.
  • A pinch of oregano.
  • Add 2 cloves of garlic.
  • Add a bit of water.
  • A bay leaf.
  • Cook for 7 minutes on low heat.
  • Pour the ground meat over the potatoes.
  • Spread evenly.
  • Add pieces of mozzarella.
  • Sprinkle with grated cheese of your choice.
  • Green onion.
  • A pinch of oregano.
  • Drizzle with olive oil.
  • Bake for 15 minutes at 200°C.

Ingredients:

  • 2.2 pounds of potatoes, sliced into half-moons
  • Cooking oil
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • A pinch of dried oregano
  • 14 ounces ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 14 ounces tomato pulp
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Water
  • Bay leaf
  • Mozzarella cheese chunks
  • Grated cheese of choice
  • Chopped green onion
  • Olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 390°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat a bit of cooking oil. Fry the potatoes for about 15 minutes over medium-low heat until golden. Season with salt, black pepper, paprika, and oregano. Transfer the potatoes to an oven-safe dish.
  3. In the same skillet, use the remaining fat to sauté the chopped onion for 2-3 minutes. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Pour in the tomato pulp, season with salt, black pepper, oregano, add the minced garlic, a bay leaf, and a bit of water. Simmer for 7 minutes over low heat.
  4. Pour the ground meat over the potatoes in the oven-safe dish, spreading it evenly. Arrange mozzarella cheese chunks, grated cheese, green onion, and sprinkle with oregano. Drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes at 390°F (200°C) until the cheese is melted and golden.

Tips:

  • Customize the grated cheese according to preference, such as parmesan, cheddar, etc.
  • Keep an eye on the cooking to prevent burning.
  • Enhance flavor with fresh herbs like parsley or basil.
