Crust Preparation:
- Mix softened butter with powdered sugar.
- Add flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix until sandy in texture.
- Add the egg and mix until a homogeneous dough forms.
- Spread the dough in tartlet molds and prick the base with a fork.
- Pre-bake the crust in a preheated oven at 220 degrees Celsius for approximately 10 minutes until lightly golden. Remove from the oven.
Cream Preparation:
- Beat the egg yolk with sugar until the mixture whitens.
- Add cornstarch and vanilla sugar. Mix until a smooth texture forms.
- In a saucepan, heat the milk. Pour the hot milk over the previous mixture while stirring constantly.
- Return the mixture to the saucepan and heat over low heat until the cream thickens.
- Remove from heat, add the butter, and mix until fully incorporated.
Assembly and Decoration:
- Pour the cream onto the pre-baked tartlet bases.
- Decorate with cherries and raspberries on the top of the tartlets.
