How to CLEAN your OVEN Very EASILY! – Eco-friendly, Effective, and Inexpensive Hack

Ingredients and Tools:

  • Pyrex container
  • Sponge
  • Concentrated white vinegar
  • Baking soda
  • Water
  • Sprayer
  • Silver stone (optional)
  • Damp sponge
  • Clean damp sponge

Instructions:

  1. Mix the baking soda and water: In a Pyrex container, mix a small glass of hot water with 5 tablespoons of baking soda. Stir well until the baking soda is dissolved.
  2. Add vinegar and mix: Add a small glass of concentrated vinegar to the baking soda mixture. It will fizz and bubble. Mix again until you obtain a foamy paste.
  3. Apply the paste to the oven: Remove the oven racks and apply the paste to all the stained areas of the oven, including the edges and corners. You can also use the paste to clean the side racks.
  4. Set the oven to low temperature and let the paste work: Heat the oven to a low temperature and leave the paste on for 50 minutes. This will allow the baking soda and vinegar to dissolve the grease and grime.
  5. Spray with vinegar: After 50 minutes, turn off the oven and let it cool down slightly. Then, spray the entire interior of the oven with concentrated white vinegar. This will cause another round of fizzing and bubbling, which will help to remove more dirt.
  6. Clean with a sponge: Once the fizzing has subsided, use a damp sponge to wipe away the dirt and grime. You will be amazed at how easily the dirt comes off!
  7. Clean stubborn stains: If there are any stubborn stains remaining, you can use a bit of silver stone to scrub them away. However, be careful not to scratch the oven surface.
  8. Rinse and dry: Rinse the oven with clean water and dry it with a clean cloth.

Tips:

  • This method is also effective for cleaning oven racks. Simply soak the racks in the baking soda and vinegar mixture for a few hours, then scrub them with a sponge.
  • You can use a spray bottle instead of a sponge to apply the vinegar and baking soda mixture.
  • If your oven is very dirty, you may need to repeat this process once or twice.
  • Always wear gloves and safety goggles when working with cleaning chemicals.
  • Be sure to open a window or turn on the exhaust fan when using vinegar, as it can be strong-smelling.
