Ingredients:
For the Rolls:
- 400g (3 1/4 cups) all-purpose flour
- 50g (1/4 cup) sugar
- 5g (1 tsp) salt
- 7g dry yeast
- 250ml (1 cup) lukewarm milk
- 1 large egg
- 55g (1/4 cup) butter, softened
- 8g (1 tbsp.) minced garlic
For Garlic Butter:
- 8g (1 tbsp.) minced garlic
- 1g (2 tsp) dried parsley
- 55g (1/3 cup) salted butter, melted
Instructions:
- In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast.
- Pour in the lukewarm milk and add the egg. Mix until combined.
- Knead the dough with a mixer for 5 minutes. Cover the bowl with a towel and let the dough rest for 20 minutes.
- Add the softened butter and minced garlic to the dough. Continue to knead until you achieve an elastic dough.
- Transfer the dough to a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
- Transfer the risen dough to a work surface, shape it into a square, and divide it into 25 pieces. Roll each piece into a ball, cover, and let them rest for 15 minutes.
- Gently deflate each ball by tucking in the edges and place them in a greased mold. Cover and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- In the meantime, prepare the garlic butter. In a bowl, combine minced garlic, dried parsley, and melted butter. Mix well.
- Brush the tops of the risen rolls with the garlic butter mixture and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 15-17 minutes or until golden brown.
- While the rolls are still warm, brush them with a little more garlic butter.
- Enjoy your delicious garlic butter rolls!
Tips:
- Ensure the milk is lukewarm, not hot, to activate the yeast effectively.
- Letting the rolls rest and rise is crucial for achieving a soft and fluffy texture.
- Brushing the rolls with garlic butter while warm enhances the flavor.
