Chocolate Banana Oatmeal Bake
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups (120g) rolled oats
- 1 cup (250ml) hot milk (your choice)
- 2 ripe medium bananas
- 2 eggs (or vegan substitute)
- 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/3 cup (40g) nuts
- 2.6 ounces (75g) dark chocolate (preferably without added sugar)
- 3 tablespoons (40ml) hot milk (your choice)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (360°F).
- In a bowl, combine the rolled oats and hot milk. Let it soak for about 10 minutes.
- Mash the ripe bananas and add them to the oat mixture.
- Beat the eggs (or vegan substitute) and mix them into the oat and banana mixture.
- Add cocoa powder, a pinch of salt, and baking powder. Mix until well combined.
- Fold in the nuts into the mixture.
- Pour the mixture into a baking dish (approximately 8×4 inches).
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes.
- Once baked, allow it to cool.

- Ensure the bananas are ripe for a sweeter flavor.
- If vegan, opt for a suitable egg substitute like flax eggs or mashed banana.
- Choose dark chocolate without added sugar to reduce the overall sugar content.
- Feel free to add a drizzle of melted dark chocolate mixed with a bit of hot milk on top for extra flavor.
