Strawberry Bombs

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and butter until smooth.
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. Stir in the strawberries.
  5. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto a lightly greased baking sheet.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Let cool completely before dusting with powdered sugar.

Tips:

  • For a more intense strawberry flavor, use fresh strawberries in season.
  • For a more decadent topping, top the bombs with whipped cream or chocolate ganache.
