Step-by-Step Tutorial for Crocodile Stitch Fingerless Gloves

Supplies:

Self-striping yarn from Bonita Yarns or 100% acrylic yarn Odyssey F/3.75 mm crochet hook Stitch marker Small embroidery needle for weaving in ends

Pattern Details: In the first part of our CAL, we will check the gauge, choose the size (small/medium or large/extra large), and work the hand section of the gloves up to the wrist.

Gauge Check: With sport weight yarn and an F crochet hook in the V-stitch pattern (1 dc, 1 ch, 1 dc):

4 V-stitches and 3 1/2 rows = 2 inches

Pattern Instructions – Part One:

Make a chain of 36 (42) stitches, being careful not to twist the chain, and join to form a ring. Round 1: *Skip 2 stitches, work a V-stitch in the next stitch, repeat around. Round 2: Work FPdc around the post of the previous double crochet (dc), then 1 ch, turn. Repeat Rounds 3 and 4 alternately for Rounds 5-10. Continue with Rounds 11-18 for the hand section.

Pattern Instructions – Part Two:

Continue with Rounds 19-23 for the wrist section. Rounds 24-37: Work FPdc in a spiral. Round 38: Join with a slip stitch. Round 39: Work V-stitches for the wrist edge. Rounds 40-44: Alternately work FPdc and V-stitches for the crocodile pattern. Round 45: Close with slip stitches and weave in ends. There you have it! Now you have beautiful and unique crocodile stitch fingerless gloves. Enjoy crocheting!
