More Flavorful Than Bland Meatballs! Dutch Meatloaf

Ingredients:

  • 180g white bread.
  • 200-250ml milk.
  • 30g green onions.
  • 150g Gouda cheese.
  • 1 kg minced meat.
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg.
  • ½ teaspoon ground coriander.
  • Salt to taste.
  • Black pepper.
  • 3 eggs.
  • 1-2 tablespoons breadcrumbs.
  • 1 large onion.
  • Casserole dish or baking sheet.
  • Grease with vegetable oil.
  • 50ml water.
  • Bay leaf.
  • 3 allspice.
  • Several black peppercorns.
  • Potatoes.
  • 2-3 tablespoons Parmesan.
  • Cilantro or parsley.
  • Casserole dish.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder.
  • 1 teaspoon dried onion.
  • ½ teaspoon salt.
  • Black pepper.
  • Parmesan.
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil.

Instructions and Tips:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Make a puree of bread in milk.
  3. Add green onions, Gouda cheese, minced meat, nutmeg, coriander, salt, black pepper, and eggs. Mix well.
  4. Add breadcrumbs and chopped onion. Mix again.
  5. Grease the baking dish with vegetable oil.
  6. Place the meat mixture in the dish.
  7. In a bowl, mix water, bay leaf, allspice, and black peppercorns. Pour over the meat.
  8. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 60 minutes.
  9. Wash potatoes well and cook for 10 minutes.
  10. In a bowl, mix cilantro, garlic powder, dried onion, salt, black pepper, and Parmesan.
  11. Cut the boiled potatoes in half and place them in a casserole dish.
  12. Season the potatoes with the spice mixture.
  13. Sprinkle with Parmesan.
  14. Bake at 180 degrees for 20-30 minutes until tender.
  15. At the end of the baking time, increase the temperature to 200°C.
  16. Enjoy your meal!
