Ingredients:
- 2 medium-sized eggs
- Pinch of salt
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 30 grams melted butter
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 4 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- Juice of 1 lemon
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, salt, sugar, lemon zest, melted butter, flour, and baking powder until smooth and free of lumps.
- Peel and thinly slice the apples. To prevent browning, drizzle the slices with lemon juice.
- Arrange the thinly sliced apples over the prepared tart dough.
- Pour the mixed ingredients into a 20-centimeter diameter tart pan.
- Bake the tart in the preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for around 55 minutes or until it turns golden brown and looks spectacular.
Tips:
- Slicing the apples thinly ensures even cooking and an appealing appearance.
- Using lemon juice on the apples prevents them from turning brown due to oxidation.
- Test for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center; it should come out clean when the tart is ready.
- Allow the tart to cool before cutting and serving to set properly.
