Ingredients:
- 3 bananas, sliced
- Juice of half a lemon
- 60g sugar
- 30g butter
- 50g chopped nuts
- 2 eggs
- A pinch of salt
- 8g vanilla sugar
- 60ml vegetable oil
- 120ml milk
- 160g-180g all-purpose flour
- 20g cocoa powder
- 15g baking powder
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions:
- Slice the bananas and sprinkle them with lemon juice.
- In a pot, caramelize sugar over low heat without stirring.
- Add butter and banana slices; stir until coated. Then add the nuts. Remove from heat and let it cool.
- In a bowl, beat eggs with salt, vanilla sugar, vegetable oil, and milk.
- Gradually add flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder; mix until smooth.
- Gently fold in the cooled banana mixture into the batter.
- Pour the batter into a baking pan (28 cm x 11 cm) lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30-35 minutes, until the cake is cooked through.
- Dust with powdered sugar once cooled.
Tips:
- Be careful not to overmix the batter for a light cake texture.
- Check the cake’s doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center. If it comes out clean, the cake is ready.
- Allow the cake to cool before dusting it with powdered sugar for an appealing presentation.
