Ingredients:
- 240 ml (1 cup) warm milk
- 1 egg
- 75 g (1/4 cup) condensed milk
- 30 g (2 tbsp) sugar
- 7 g (2 ¼ tsp) dry yeast
- 520 g (4 ¼ cups) flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 50 g (1/4 cup) softened butter
- 45 g (3 tbsp) butter (for topping)
- 45 g (3 tbsp) condensed milk (for topping)
Instructions:
- In a bowl, whisk warm milk with sugar and condensed milk. Add dry yeast and an egg, whisk again.
- Combine wet ingredients with flour and salt to form a dough. Use dough hooks to work the mixture. Add softened butter and knead for ten minutes.
- Allow the dough to rest for one hour.
- Divide ⅔ of the dough and roll it into a 25×40 centimeter rectangle. Roll the dough into a log and cut it into pieces. Place these pieces in a preheated baking dish and set aside.
- For smaller buns, repeat the procedure with the remaining 1/3 of the dough.
- Let the rolls rest for one hour.
- Brush the top of each bun with egg wash before baking.
- Bake at 180C/350F for 25-30 minutes. For smaller buns, 20 minutes is sufficient.
- Whisk equal parts of butter and condensed milk, then apply this mixture to warm buns while they are still warm.
- Once cooled, remove the baked goods from the baking pans.
Tips for Success:
- Use fresh ingredients for the best results.
- Ensure ingredients like eggs and butter are at room temperature for smooth mixing.
- Knead the dough sufficiently to achieve fluffiness.
