Ingredients needed:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 10.5 ounces pasta
- 1 onion
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 10.5 ounces chopped tomatoes
- 2 leeks
- 2.5 ounces parmesan cheese
- 6.3 ounces cheese
- Butter
- All-purpose flour (1 tablespoon)
- 2 cups milk
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Nutmeg
Instructions:
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook for about 5 minutes until browned.
- Season with salt while cooking.
- Cook the pasta in boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In the skillet, add the chopped onion and cook for about 2 minutes. Then, add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and cook for about 7 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper.
- Add the sliced leeks and sauté in butter for about 4 minutes.
- Sprinkle flour into the skillet and stir to incorporate. Slowly pour in the milk while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and nutmeg. Let the mixture thicken.
- Add grated parmesan and cheese, stirring until the cheese melts.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Transfer the beef and pasta mixture into an ovenproof dish, pour the cheese sauce over it, and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes.
